Then check your pocket depth
A fitted sheet or protector has to clear the height of the mattress, not just its footprint. Pillow-tops and toppers add inches most people forget.
- Standard — up to 12″
- Deep pocket — 13″ to 17″
- Extra deep — 18″ to 21″
Why sizing is the whole problem
“King” is not one size. A standard King is 76″ wide. A California King is 72″ wide but 4″ longer. Buy the wrong one and the fitted sheet either floats or pops off at 3am.
